Acoustic Wedding Singer

As you probably have already gathered, I’m Amelle (she/they)! Hello if we haven’t already been introduced, and hello again if you’ve found your way here from the homepage. I’d love to take this opportunity to help you get to know a little better, to give you a sense of who I am.

I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all weddings - and I certainly don’t believe in one-size-fits-all music. I work closely with music-loving couples to reflect who they are. That might mean an acoustic version of the song you used to quote in your Myspace bio, a mashup your guests never saw coming, or skipping the classics in favour of deep cuts that hit you right in the feels - all so your wedding music truly tells your story.

I'm originally from France, though I’ve mostly lost the accent now, and have called the UK home for nearly a decade. I’ve been performing as a full-time musician since 2018, and started my career performing in bars, restaurants, and pubs; gigs were where I really cut my teeth. They taught me how to read a room, connect with all kinds of audiences, and understand which songs work best in any situation.

In 2019, I played my first wedding after a customer saw me perform at a restaurant brunch event, and that’s when everything clicked. Unlike any other gig, it wasn't just entertainment. It was about being a part of someone's unforgettable moment. Seeing how live music could bring out so much emotion, I knew this was what I wanted to do the most. And the rest, as they say, is history!

My Own Love Story

Fabian and I met in the most painfully cliché romcom way: he worked at my local coffee shop when I lived in Bristol. I went in daily under the guise of caffeine needs, but really just for a bit of human contact (classic self-employed behaviour), and, okay, because turning up every day seemed like a solid plan for free coffee. Spoiler: it worked.

Fabian and I became friends first, and things brewed slowly (pun intended). About a year in, it finally clicked during a night fuelled by a bottle of wine, and an enthusiastic - but frankly questionable - Taylor Swift dance routine, which we totally plan to recreate at our own wedding someday.

Madeleine is the light of our lives! She likes headbanging to Nirvana, calls her burps “pardon mes” (don’t ask), and I know I’ve given her more screen time than I should when she slips into an Aussie accent (thanks Bluey).

We are all neurodivergent, so there’s never a dull moment in our household - in the best of ways!

More Fun Facts About Me!

Little ice breakers from the singer behind the guitar.

  • I’m a vinyl records collector (I especially love the ritual with the crackle sound before the music starts).

  • One of my favourite things is dance parties in the kitchen with my kid.

  • My first love was songwriting, and I’ve always been a bit of a nerd when it comes to discovering new music. Raised on 70s soul, a lifelong Paramore fan (yes, I was a Twilight girl), and still bouncing between Phoebe Bridgers, Lady Gaga, and jazz standards on any given day.

  • My side hobbies include embroidery and journaling.

  • I’m all about supporting small independent businesses!

  • Sustainability is important to me. I now drive an electric car (lots of long distances for work), print all my marketing material locally, and take all efforts that I can to be earth-kind.

  • I’m queer! (If that’s making your brain do mental backflips, this little video might help.)
